A busy Sunday
October 5th, 2008
Mid day yesterday (Saturday Oct 4, 2008), I was contacted to make a rush update to a website that I first built 2 years ago. It included the creation of a new page as well as updating some of the other pages. Thankfully the Summer of 2007 was the year that I moved it over to a dynamic code so that the addition of a new page meant only 1 menu file to update.
So, now the Orange County Retired Teachers Association has a page that explains (to an extent) their scholarship program, and provides links for the applications needed for consideration.
Other enhancements included the addition of the October newsletter, and adding information on what happens to scheduled meetings if there is a bad storm (ie Hurricane, Tropical Storm).
All in all, it was about 2-3 hours worth of work, not including the telephone conversations to explain that I needed to know what they wanted to say on the page, otherwise they would just have a page with 4 links. And another conversation to walk them through the new pages and updates.
